
Our primary goal is to provide shelter for the animals so that the authorities have a place to take confiscated pets and victims of the trade. We hope to enlighten the lives of these animals by providing them with a caring environment.

Together with support of NOK Flying Club and the Royal Thai Forestry Department, WARF are setting up a joint venture in Northern Thailand to undertake an assisted aerial natural forest regeneration project.

Capacity Building and Extending Volunteer Network Program for Nature and Wildlife Conservation was funded by the UPS Foundation Global Grants Program. The project was portioned out into 25 activities, spreading out in five provinces in the north including Chiang Mai, Lampang, Lamphun, Chiang Rai and Uttaradit.

Since the juvenile loris has been brought up more or less in captivity, a successful release depends on a proper rehabilitation. For this reason, WARED is building a special rehabilitation site for lorises that allows for them to forage for food independently and train for their future life in the wild.

In an attempt to reduce increasing problems between humen and monkeys, WARF has set up a program to provide food provisions to the macaques. The objective is to teach the monkeys when and where to expect food everyday, and to try and minimize the negative effects they have on the community by providing adequate food for the population.

Unfortunately some of the gibbons which arrive at the WARF will never be released into the wild. Gibbons that have tested positive for the Herpes Simplex Virus, Hepatitis B Virus, Hepatitis B Virus and HIV Virus could potentially spread the disease to the reintroduced population as well as pose as a health threat to humans.
